Preparations are underway to introduce mandatory country of origin labelling for seafood in hospitality settings (seafood CoOL). An information standard is proposed to be introduced under the Australian Consumer Law using the Australian-Imported-Mixed (AIM) model. Once in place, restaurants, cafes and other businesses must label where their seafood comes from.
