Lifeline Ballarat is one of more than 40 Lifeline centres across Australia and is part of a trusted national charity that has been saving lives and supporting Australians in need for 60 years.
Lifeline Ballarat delivers crisis support and suicide prevention services through the national 13 11 14 help line. The service provides confidential 24/7 telephone crisis support and referral services to Australians in need.
Currently, across Australia, more than 3000 calls are answered each day, which is one call answered every 30 seconds. At Lifeline Ballarat, our volunteer Crisis Supporters answer more than 10,000 calls a year.
Lifeline Ballarat also supports the local community through education and training and through involvement in community events. The funds raised through our workshops on suicide awareness and intervention, DV, and having difficult conversations, go towards supporting our local Lifeline 13 11 14 phone room.
