We facilitate and drive collaboration among industry, government and the research sector to grow advanced manufacturing skills and investment..

The GMC has received federal government funding from the Department of Industry, Science and Resources to expand its successful Seed2STEM program to Ballarat for 2024 and 2025.

The Seed2STEM program consists of a STEM careers awareness immersion program for Year 9 & 10 girls and a 9-month structured mentoring program for women already working in industry or looking to transition to the manufacturing or engineering sector.

The GMC is keen to work with up to sixteen manufacturing or engineering companies in the Ballarat region to ensure that these programs successfully support local companies, local projects, and local young women in the region.
