Raven Collective is a 10-week paid training and employment program specifically designed for women who have experienced Domestic and Family Violence. The ‘Women of Raven’ trainees engage in a practical working environment within a distribution setting while also participating in training aimed to develop readiness to work skills. The ‘Women of Raven’ are additionally supported in a remedial capacity to fulfil social and emotional needs. Upon completion of our program, we seek ongoing employment opportunities suited to participants’ specific needs and desires.
Our mission at Raven Collective is to provide a safe and scaffolded environment for women who have experienced domestic abuse to develop skills to allow participants to seek and sustain ongoing employment and reach the ultimate goal of becoming self-sufficient.
We understand the hardships faced by women escaping domestic abuse and have partnered with a range of local organisations that assist the ‘Women of Raven’ to heal and access a better future within a therapeutic environment while supporting emotional growth and driving social change. By packing the gift boxes that are purchased through this platform we are creating sustainable and meaningful employment and we believe the community is enriched when social and economic inclusion underpins business with purpose.
We believe the key to positive change in our community is through partnerships with organisations that share our passion and belief that with the right support, people can become self-reliant, improve their personal, social, and economic circumstances and reach financial independence - a result that enriches the whole community.
Social interaction and social support are vital for health, both mentally and physically. Raven Collective provides a platform for individuals and their families to meet people with similar lived experiences while feeling supported in their quest to rebuild and create a balanced life.
