Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation is the representative body for Wadawurrung Traditional Owners. The Corporation works to support their aspirations and protect Aboriginal Cultural Heritage in accordance with the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006. Wadawurrung provides a variety of different services including but not limited to Cultural Heritage Assessments, Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremonies and Cultural Awareness and Safety Training.

The Ballarat and District Aboriginal Co-operative (BADAC) was established by members of the Ballarat and District Aboriginal community in 1979. BADAC delivers health, social, welfare and community development programs to local Aboriginal people.

Federation University

Federation University Aboriginal Education Centre

The Aboriginal Education Centre has a strong and vibrant cultural presence at Federation University with 5 offices based across the following campuses - Mt Helen, SMB, Wimmera, Berwick and Gippsland and is the central location for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander matters at Federation University. They assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and can also refer students to services and support at Federation University and other community organisations. Their computer labs are open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and community members. They welcome all students, staff and community members to contact them and contribute to the life of the Centre.

Koorie Engagement  Action Group

Koorie Engagement Action Group (KEAG)

KEAG is an advisory committee that provides City of Ballarat with expertise in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander matters to assist in decision making for the Ballarat Community. Members of the committee have an opportunity to confirm the City of Ballarat's commitment to Aboriginal reconciliation by carrying on a formal relationship between council and  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The objectives of the Committee include providing recommendation to the City of Ballarat on matters of engagement for Koorie people in the region, overseeing the implementation of City of Ballarat's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), promoting understanding within the Ballarat community of Koorie culture, society, and heritage and much more.
