SOVEREIGN HILL OPENS WADAWURRUNG CULTURAL PRECICT

Sovereign Hill has unveiled a deeply important feature to their museum, and we were lucky enough to attend the opening. Wadawurrung Cultural Precinct features sculptures by five Wadawurrung artists - Aunty Marlene Gilson, Dr. Deanne Gilson, Tammy Gilson, Kait James, and Lynette Fagan- and profoundly displays the impacts of colonisation that continue today, as well as the beautiful connection that remains between the Wadawurrung people and their land.
